MEET DAVE PAULUS

Dave Paulus is a 35-year broadcaster, and he gets it. He understands what motivates people, that great leaders are truly chameleons in their style and that people who are instructed with a clear direction and mission will always walk-through walls for you.
Dave has run stations groups throughout the country and along with John Shomby, developed the Max Media cluster in Virginia Beach into the cluster everyone wanted to be a part of. He’s a previous president of the Virginia Association of Broadcasters and in 2018, received the CT Lucy award from that organization, denoting lifetime broadcast excellence.

MEET JOHN SHOMBY
There are very few people in the world more kind or entertaining than John Shomby. He's the type of mentor and friend that one always hopes to find, but rarely does. He just leaves the world in a better place everywhere he goes. John admits he's had the privilege of programming multiple formats, local and syndicated, over a 40+ year period., including CHR, Country, Mainstream Rock, Classic Hits, Sports Talk and Contemporary Gospel. He has overseen the launches of stations in Augusta, Flint, Birmingham, Portland, Dallas, Honolulu and Norfolk/Virginia Beach. All of this makes for some great stories and great examples of building staff culture from the ground up.
Now based in Nashville, TN, Shomby has been focused on coaching and mentoring radio programmers and on-air talent to help them grow and develop inside the radio station and within the radio industry. Additionally, he has developed "Radio 101 Boot Camp", a training program for new country artists to give them some needed knowledge about what they're getting themselves into when they start their radio tours.
Shomby has been a member of Nashville's Leadership Music organization since 2010 and has served on the Country Radio Broadcasters' Board of Directors since 2005, and as the sitting Vice President since 2019.
